CEO transition at Action on Poverty
After six transformative years, CEO Brayden Howie is stepping down from Action on Poverty. Under Brayden’s leadership, we’ve expanded our global reach, strengthened community partnerships, and deepened our commitment to locally-led solutions that tackle poverty at its roots.
Most significantly, Brayden has guided AOP’s evolution from traditional aid manager to strategic catalyst, shaping our approach to identifying high-potential, community-led solutions and developing them into scalable, investable models that tackle poverty at its source. Brayden’s legacy of impact-focused innovation and authentic partnership will continue to guide our work.

We’re excited to announce Meghal Shah as Action on Poverty’s new Chief Executive. Currently Asia Regional Director and former AOP COO, Meghal brings extensive international development experience, strategic vision, business acumen and unwavering commitment to social justice, the ideal foundation to advance our vision of all people thriving in a world without poverty.
Join us in thanking Brayden for his exceptional leadership and celebrating Meghal as he leads Action on Poverty forward.
