About the project
Our Community-based Tourism (CBT) project was first piloted in Da Bac, Vietnam, to develop new business opportunities for ethnic minority groups.
The project’s overall objective is to develop sustainable tourism practices that provide long-term incomes, preserve local cultures and environments, and contribute to poverty alleviation for remote, marginalised communities.
Last year, CBT in Da Bac attracted 2,000 visitors and generated over $57,000 in income, benefiting 140 households in three communes.
