Making hope possible for 50 years

Action on Poverty began in 1968, when Betty Silverstein and Stan Hosie founded the Foundation for the South Pacific (FSP) in response to the severe lack of humanitarian aid in the region. Their mission was to help poor and vulnerable communities in the South Pacific determine their own futures by organising education, training and funding.

Today, our mission remains the same: to empower local changemakers to break the cycle of entrenched poverty in their own communities. Find out more about our work

Thank you

A big thank you to Hicksons Lawyers for donating their exquisite venue for the event!
