Act now to help cyclone-devastated communities in southern Malawi
Action on Poverty is providing emergency assistance to cyclone-devastated communities in southern Malawi and we need your immediate help
Hundreds are still missing, and the death toll continues to rise in Malawi weeks after Cyclone Freddy tore through the southern African nation, leaving our communities devastated by one of the deadliest storms on record.
The catastrophic flooding and destruction caused by the cyclone has left more than half a million people who were forced to flee their homes displaced.
Local resources are limited to deal with the level of devastation.
And the health system, already burdened under the weights of the deadliest cholera outbreak in years, a polio outbreak and the ongoing impacts of the COVID-19 epidemic, has gone beyond breaking point.
Action on Poverty is working with its partners on the ground to respond to this developing emergency, and we urgently need your help.
We hope you can act immediately to provide essential water, sanitation, and hygiene services to the displacement camps.
Your donations will also deliver basic food supplies and cooking stoves to the devastated communities.
Your generosity gives vital support to our communities overwhelmed by this disaster.
