Action on Poverty’s 50th Anniversary

In 2018 we’re celebrating our 50th Anniversary!

Action on Poverty was founded in 1968, when an Australian actress and Marist priest founded a small charity to bring much needed aid to the South Pacific. Fifty years later, our mission is the same: empowering local changemakers to break the cycle of poverty in their communities.
