AFAP Vietnam Country Strategy

Based on the context of Vietnam as a middle-income country that continues to face a number of critical development challenges, the development priorities of the Vietnamese government, and the mandate and capacity of AFAP Vietnam, the organisation has adopted a country strategy for the period of 2013-2018 that focuses on three priority thematic areas. The strategy also clarifies the organisation’s key partners, target groups, and target areas.

Thematic areas

In the area of key projects, AFAP will discuss with partners to develop long-term plans based on three  proposed priority sectors including:

(i) strengthening climate change adaptation capacity;

(ii) stimulating income generation and sustainable livelihood development;

(iii) improving access to public services and promoting social monitoring.

  • Youth.

 Key partners

AFAP maintains long-term partnerships with the following key actors to jointly address Vietnam’s development challenges:

  • International organisations and development agencies

  • Enterprises, especially social enterprises
  • Universities and research institutes.
